KOCAA 2019 INVESTMENT SYMPOSIUM

NEWS RELEASE

Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors LLC (“KOCAA”) hosted its second Catholic Investment Symposium recently, bringing nearly 50 representatives from industry to academic, as well as investment consultants from across the country, to New Haven to discuss market trends and the future of Catholic investing. The annual event is designed to present an overview of the firm’s fixed income and equity review and outlook and to highlight its latest recent research on alternative investments strategies for uncertain markets.

The event presentations covered investing from a Catholic perspective, and focused on alternative investment strategies, fixed income and equity investing, asset allocation and the role of active and passive strategies.

Highlights included a keynote address from Dr. Mario Enzler, Finance Professor at Catholic University, former Swiss Banker and Tax Fiduciary as well as an open forum dialogue-session between participants and presenters, including experts from many of the nation’s leading investment consulting firms.

“It was gratifying to see so many industry leaders, Catholic colleges, foundations, and diocese come together,” said Tony Minopoli, chief investments officer of KoCAA. “The energy from the discussions was contagious and participants seemed to leave with valuable ideas that could be implemented in their organizations.” he added.

Additional presentations highlighted the firms’ latest focus on the charitable giving through donor-advised funds, retirement solutions for institutions and the results from the firm’s research on national deposit and loan programs.
